Favorite NEW Products 2016

As many of you probably know by now, I love to try new things.  Over the past year, I’ve been testing all kinds of products that were either new to the market or just new to me.  Among the duds and lackluster products, I found some AMAZING products that were standouts for me, and I’m going to share those with you today.

There’s a lot to talk about so get cozy, pour yourself a cup of coffee and settle down for some good beauty reading with lots of pictures πŸ™‚

Redken Blonde Idol Sulfate-free Shampoo
*Smells amazing!  Clean, fresh scent
*Tones out brassiness in blond hair and highlights even though it’s NOT a purple shampoo
*Sulfate-free means it’s really good for color treated hair
Where to Buy:  Ulta

Soap and Glory Body Products

  • Rich and Foamous Body Wash
    • Super foaming, rich hydrating lather
    • Smells absolutely DELICIOUS!  Scent is described as almond, oat and brown sugar….I’d add a hint of vanilla and musk to that description.
    • Where to Buy:  Ulta
  • Smoothie Star Oat, Sugar and Shea Breakfast Scrub
    • Contains cupuaco bio scrubs, banana, almond and honey extracts
    • Not the traditional sugar and oil scrub – this one is more of a paste with scrubbies in it that stay together with the paste, providing a more even exfoliation
    • GREAT for exfoliating before applying sunless tanner
    • Smells great – described as a Maple scent
    • Where to Buy:  Ulta
  • Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk
    • Has the same DELICIOUS scent as the body wash – a mixture of almond, oats and brown sugar and I do detect a bit of vanilla and musk
    • Truly one of the most hydrating lotions I’ve tried but it doesn’t make your skin feel greasy.  It soaks in and leaves the skin with a nice moisturized glow.
    • And did I mention it smells AMAZING?
    • Where to Buy:  Ulta

Native Deodorant (Coconut and Vanilla Scent)

Since turning 40 this past year, I felt like I needed to make some changes to my skincare routine.  Even though I’m still using and loving my DIY Toner, Serum and Baobab oil at night, I’ve incorporated some new products into my routine and my skin is loving it!

Sibu Cleansing Face and Body Bar
*Used morning and night, this cleanses the skin without it feeling dry whatsoever
*Contains great, all natural ingredients to inhibit bacterial growth and promote tissue recovery

Freeman Sweet Tea and Lemon Peel-Away Clay Mask
*Says it “pulls pore-clogging grime” and it does!  This is my “go-to” mask when I feel like my skin needs a good detox.
*As it dries, you can feel it tightening the pores.  After you peel it off, you can visibly see your pores appear smaller and your skin feels refreshed and clean.
*Also helps remove dead, flaky skin
*Peels off easily and painlessly πŸ™‚
Where to Buy:  Ulta, Walgreens, Winco Foods

Everyday Coconut Face Toner (Coconut Water)

*Smells unbelievably good and refreshing – like coconut and papaya
*GREAT ingredients and no alcohol
*6-8 spritzes of this in the morning before my serum, makes my skin feel refreshed and toned
*Can also be used after you apply your foundation and powder to reduce the powdery look or throughout the day to refresh the skin
*Since I usually only use it in the morning, one bottle lasts 6+months!

Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel

*Great spot treatment – clears most spots within 1-2 days, sometimes overnight!
*Does sting when first applied but sting dissipates quickly
*Dries completely over the spot, sealing the treatment in and dirt and makeup out

bareMinerals Prep Step Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Shield Daily Prep Lotion

*Unlike anything on the market, this is super concentrated SPF that you can add to anything….moisturizer, primer, foundation, etc.  Just a few drops is all you need!

*Because it’s just the sunscreen, it doesn’t make your face greasy or cause your foundation to break down
*Natural, mineral sunscreen, providing a physical barrier to the sun
*Although it starts out white, it adjusts to a peachy tone (see peach “ring” around tip of bottle in image above) so it’s suppose to work on all skin tones without giving a white cast to the skin
Where to Buy:  Ulta, Sephora, bareMinerals

Acure Eye Cream – Chlorella Growth Factor + Edelweiss Stem Cell

*Truly helps diminish dark circles within about 5 minutes of applying
