Browse My Stash - NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses

Today you will be browsing my stash of
NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses

Review:
*Pigmentation varies from shade to shade; most pigmented shades seem to be those with a frost or pearl finish
*Non-sticky formula
*Nice "doe foot" applicator
*Comfortable to wear and they feel moisturizing on the lips
*Scented - some have likened the scent to cherry cough syrup ;-)
*Available in over 35 shades!!!

Cost:  $5 ~ Shop Ulta's sales and you can get them as low as $3!

Where To Buy:  Ulta, nyxcosmetics.com and now at most Target stores!

Summary:  When I first discovered these glosses, I really went "hog-wild" and bought tons of colors.  For the price, I think they are a nice gloss and I love all of the color choices.  Some of the color names have nothing to do with the color however, so don't rely on that to tell you the actual color of the gloss.  For example, the color "Beige" is actually pink, not tan.  While I personally prefer a little more stickiness in my glosses (i.e., MAC Lipglass, Buxom Lipgloss) because it helps the lipgloss wear longer, I know many don't like "sticky gloss".  And if that's you, I think you'll really like these.

Favorite, Most Worn Colors:  Beige Pearl, Crystal Soda, Chandelier, Golden Pink, Copper Penny, Cosmo (see * color swatches below)

Since there are SO many similar colors to choose from it can be hard to tell one apart from another.  Hopefully, the swatches below and my detailed color descriptions will help you pick the ones best suited for you.

Swatches

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG146 Baby Rose
Description:  Pale pink (almost clear) with a hint of shimmer

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG135A Beige Pearl*
Description: Shimmery peachy tan
*This is a nice color to put over any color of lipstick to add some shimmer and slightly tone down bright colors.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG127 Pink Frost
Description: Light baby pink with a pearl finish

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG104 Sweet Heart
Description: Nude peachy pink with a pearl finish

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG153 Crystal Soda*
Description: Sheer pale peach with gold shimmer/glitter
*This is one of my favorites to put over a pink or coral lipstick. It adds just the right amount of sparkle to the lips.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG157 Chandelier*
Description: Blue-toned pink with silver glitter
*Although I'm not usually a fan of glosses with big glitter particles, this one is gorgeous when paired with a nude lipstick like NYX Circe.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG131 Golden Pink*
Description: Medium neutral pink with gold shimmer/glitter
*Love this color on its own or paired over a nude or pale pink shade of lipstick.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG129 Beige
Description: Medium pink cream (no shimmer or pearl)
Although this is one of the most popular shades, I find that because my lips are not naturally very pigmented, it can look a bit streaky on my lips.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG161 Beautiful
Description: Medium sheer pink with gold glitter (larger bits of glitter than Golden Pink)

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG144 Copper Penny*
Description: Deep rose shade with a frost finish
*There is nothing "copper" about this shade....it is such a pretty color and very pigmented!  It is beautiful on its own or paired over a red lipstick.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG141 Miami Babe
Description: Soft mauve/plum cream (no shimmer or pearl)
While this is a pretty color when swatched, on my lips it just blends right in, looking almost like I'm just wearing a clear gloss.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - LG110 Cosmo*
Description: Super shimmery brownish pink
*This is a gorgeous color that looks great on its own or paired over brown, pink or nude lipsticks.
