Where Has the Time Gone?

I can hardly believe that it's March already!  Seems like just yesterday I was putting away Christmas decorations...anyone else feel that way?  I find the older I get the more often I repeat the phrase my grandma used to say all the time, "Where has the time gone?"  My blog posts and design updates have been pretty sporadic this year so I thought I'd better let you know what I've been up to, lest you think I've fallen off a cliff!

January brought about our annual road trip to Denver, Colorado.  We usually hit a snow storm going to or coming from Colorado and this year was no exception.  On our way into Denver, we hit a blizzard over Vail pass.

It was pretty scary at times but the Lord brought us safely through the storm.  We enjoyed a week of visiting friends and family before heading back home.

The first part of February, my friend that I've known since 4th grade, Laura, came out for a visit.

We enjoyed shopping, eating out, watching chick-flicks and even snuck in a day at the spa to celebrate her birthday.  Then it was back to reality for about a week and a half.

Then my cousin, her husband and their 2 1/2 year old, Taylee, came to visit from Wyoming.  It was a busy 5 days....we enjoyed playing games, having tea parties with Taylee and spending a day at the beach.  And, before we knew it, it was time for them to make the long journey home, back to snowy cold, Wyoming weather.

Now, lest you think it's been all "play" and no "work", admidst the trips and visitors, I was tasked with creating some fun projects for customers....

A special mother's ring, stamped with the children's names on the outside and the husband and wife's names on the inside...

A sweet "princess" necklace for a little girl turning 4....

A ring for a little girl that will adjust as she grows, stamped with her name...

And, I made several necklaces for a local business that were stamped with a special phrase which they plan to give to their office employees....just in case they haven't been presented, I don't want to give any more specifics and ruin the surprise :-)

Now, with my visitors gone and special orders completed, I'm back in my studio, creating brand new designs for spring with all of the hottest colors of the season.  Stay tuned!

  1. You really should sell your jewelry on Etsy. I personally would love that! I'm sure you would do very well.
