Ah, Winter Weather...

All across the country temperatures are falling along with the first snow of the season (oh how I miss that white fluffy stuff!).  This is by far my favorite time of the year because it means enjoying many of my favorite things . . . beautiful sparkling snow, corduroy pants, turtleneck sweaters, down jackets, a warm crackling fire and sipping a mug of a hot, yummy beverage.  So, as a salute to"Winter", I decided to share a recipe for one of my favorite hot beverages.  It's not only great to have on hand at home but also is great for gift giving!  For those of you that receive this in your goody bag, just pretend that you don't know how easy this is to make :-)

So without any further ado, I give you. . . .

"Wintertime Spice Tea" (from Gooseberry Patch Christmas Book 3)

1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. sweetened lemonade mix
1 c. powdered orange drink mix (i.e., Tang)
1/2 c. instant tea
1/2 t. cinnamon*
1/2 t. ground cloves*

Mix all ingred…

Shower Curtain Liners

Ever get weary of spending money on shower curtain liners that no one but the person in the shower gets to see?  I know I do.  But when the liner starts getting soap residue and pink mold built up on it (don't act like it's never been on your shower curtain :-) what's a girl to do?  Well, I'm here to tell you that next time that liner looks like it needs replacing, throw it in the washer instead!

Yes, that's right!  Wash it in hot water, with some chlorine bleach and laundry detergent and presto!  It comes out sparkly clean, sanitized and looking like new.  Just make sure you don't throw it in the dryer!  Simply rehang it in the shower and allow it to dry.
