As I was celebrating this Memorial Day weekend, it got me thinking about the hot days of summer that are just around the corner and the craving I get for an icy cold beverage . . . something other than water :-) There are some great natural sodas out there but that would just be plain boring :-) Besides, I learned that by mixing up my own concoction , I can control how sweet or sour or creamy the drink is. Whether you like Pellegrino, Perrier, Arrowhead or Crystal Geyser, it makes no difference in the overall taste so pick up a bottle of your favorite sparkling water and try mixing in a few of these ingredients. . .
- Cherry Limeade ~ Add frozen Limeade Concentrate, Cherry flavored syrup (the kind that is used in coffee drinks, etc.)
- PureFitness with Fizzle ~ Add Crystal Light Pure Fitness (any flavor) **Note: Add the sparkling water to the Pure Fitness packet contents in VERY small amounts!!! It will fizz like nothing you've ever seen and completely overflow your glass . . . been there, done that!
- Italian Sodas w/ Cream ~ Add French vanilla or Carmel flavored syrup (again, the kind that you find your local coffee shop stirring into their drinks) & about a tablespoon or two of whipping cream or half-and-half per serving. YUM!!!
